If you want to play TLOU2 that badly i suggest buying a used ps4 so that you may sell it for the same price when ps5 releases. But do you have the money saved to buy the ps5?? If not then i suggest you start saving. Where do you live?? It also depends on that. I would love to buy the ps5 on release, but i know its gonna be veeery expensive in Brazil, so i'll wait a little.

My words of wisdom is: Buy any console / pc upgrade you want when you can play the game now. If you have a game you want to play now on the ps4 then by all means. Bought a ps4 because of destiny, bought Ps3 because of God of War 3, bought a wii u for Mario kart 8, naver bought a switch becau I know I won't have the time to play it.

Perhaps you can buy a used ps4 and replace it with a ps5 when it comes out? Buying a new ps4 at this point feels like a waste to me, simply because you won't get that much time out of it before it's replaced.

Honestly until they have announced the list of games for ps5, i would safely buy ps4 which is usually on sale by now. Reason to buy consoles is mostly due to their exclusive games, and so far the game that they have announced for ps5 is not that compelling compared to ps4.

if consoles and game are really close in release date, the prob get new platform remasters. like it was with first last of us, gta 5 etc. i bought used ps3 just for gta5, and ps4 should be released in months. still was worth it, cause i got ton a good deals on games i've missed, while ps3 was curent gen, like god of war, uncharted3 or rdr. and now it's like just netflix machine in the second bedroom
